Meela: 10,000 followers in 10 days

I joined a US startup as a creator, ran its growth within six weeks, and took its new accounts from zero to 10,000 followers in 10 days with no ad spend.

One piece of content that drew more than 11,000 comments. Each dot stands for about 25 comments; the amber ones are routed into DMs by comment-triggered automation.

Meela is a US startup I worked with remotely from September to December 2025. I started as one of its content creators. Within six weeks I was running its growth. All figures here come from the platforms’ own analytics and are self-reported.

  1. Sep 2025Joined as a creator, on new accounts with no followers
  2. Day 1010,000 followers and 3.5 million views, with no ad spend
  3. Within 6 weeksPromoted to UGC lead, then head of growth
  4. Dec 2025Handed over a content strategy, KPI framework and creator team
What happened, in order.

Zero to 10,000 in ten days

The accounts started from nothing, so there was no existing audience to lean on. Every follower in those ten days came from the platforms showing the content to people who had never heard of Meela. The same window produced 3.5 million views.

One post, 11,000 comments

One piece of content drew more than 11,000 comments. Comments are a stronger signal than views: each one is a person who stopped and did something. So I built comment-triggered DM automation, which replied to a comment with a direct message and turned public attention into private conversations the team could work with.

Running it as a team

Once I was leading growth, the work moved from making content to making a system that others could run. I led more than ten UGC creators, defined the content strategy and the KPI framework they worked to, and views across the accounts grew roughly threefold.
